Ronald Lopez of San Miguel, Bulacan started painting since 2003. He grew up in a rural countryside where rice is the main crop. Inspired and challenged by the works of Hans Thoma, he learn by himself to pursue the discipline of realism. His subjects are almost anything that urges his passion mostly on rural scene. Lopez also paint portraits with his exceptional skill of good likeness. Where when someone see the portrait, theyll immediately knew who it was.
In 2019 he had his first exhibit at Gateway Gallery in Araneta Center. Followed by another until the pandemic strikes. Lopez main goal is to share the beauty of Philippine countryside. Though Lopez pieces always taking its time through process. Lopez still maintained the elements of discipline, design, and execution. He paints his art by demanding himself the highest standard of excellence and continuing to aspire to the highest quality attainable.
