Flowers are abundant in Philippine art and are constantly in bloom. Through flowers wilt and dry after a few days dispensing their brilliant and vivid colors, in art they remain imperishable. A professional photographer, Chito Ignacio is an expert in close-up photography. This skill is what he transposed in his own flower paintings: looming large on the canvas, so large they assume an almost abstract quality.
Shimmering on his canvases are the subtle shades of red: rose pink, how pink, magenta, fuchsia, ruby red, alizarin crimson, and all the incarnadine tints and tones that render his flowers all ablaze.
