Collection: Confluence

Vincent Van Gogh once said, "If you hear a voice within you that says you cannot paint, then paint, and that voice will be silent." It is with this resonating thought that this group of artists from different parts of the country embarked on a journey to hone their latent creative abilities, and it is in their individual perspective that they created such works reflecting their personal experiences. In this exhibition, Art serves as a merging point that flows coming from different directions.

Composed of budding, mid-career and established artists, this "Confluence" served as a platform for their creative minds to transcend the limits of their inherent aesthetic potential. From vibrant hues and distinct palettes of acrylic or even oil paint to the fusion of their personal narratives and their own ethnicity, the exhibition aims to elevate art in its contemporary and traditional forms.

This interdisciplinary conjunction of artists ignited their own mediums and canvases with a blaze of colors, creating an intriguing range of paintings depicting human activities, landscapes, seasons and nature at their best. In their use of different hues and strokes, they also assert “with a difference” which finds expression in the thought of Gogh. This was the guiding principle to allow each artist access to the freedom in creating their own artistic voice.
