Collection: Ida Robles

As a child Ida Robles loved to draw, her artistic talent led her to study Interior Design at University of Santo Tomas where she had the good fortune yo have great painters as professors like Cenon Rivera, Leonardo Hidalgo and Antonio Austria.

Having such mentors nurtured her love for art and perhaps she might have become an artist back then. However she chose to focus on the family’s furniture business after graduation. Her love for painting was reawakened much later when she joined her youngest child ( now a licensed Architect) for summer art workshop with Solano Cruz . After that she enrolled in Fernando Sena , but it was only when joined ICA Moms Tuesday Workshop with Pol Mesina that she finally acquired and developed an instant recognizable trademark, a style she can call her own.

IDA brings into play the myriad aspects of Philippine life. The warmth of the Filipino home , joy and happy childhood. The dignity of labor and most specially her favorite subject the endless love of a mother. Her longing for her parents since she became an orphaned at an age of 30.

IDA’s paintings are bright , colors of hope , happiness and positivity. She wants people to always look on the bright side of life and aim high.
