Collection: Marlone Ylanan

Ylanan has been interested in drawing from a young age but it wasn’t until he was in high school that he was introduced to the fundamentals of tonal values and the proper use of color by a neighbor, Efren Enolva. Going out on plein air painting sessions with other artists proved to be inspirational and challenging and has helped him hone his talent.

Naturally humble and self-effacing, his membership at Cebu Artists, Inc has afforded him opportunities to publicly show his art through group exhibitions in Cebu and Manila, and through these, to continue to nurture his art. Using oils, Ylanan paints a wide range of subjects, with particular interest in landscapes and animal figures.
