Collection: Ricky Francisco
Ricky Francisco is a self-taught visual artist whose works are mostly minimalist, meditative, atmospheric explorations of light, spirituality, and transcendence. A museum worker since 1999, he has worked for the top private art museums and galleries in the country. Listed by Esquire Magazine as one of the “Movers of Philippine Art” in 2023, he wears different hats as independent curator, the chairman of MoCAF (the boutique art fair Modern and Contemporary Art), and the director of Fundacion Sanso, a non-profit institution that administers the museum, archive, art students grants program and professional grants program in honor of the artist Juvenal Sanso. He is also an art writer and his published works include the catalogue Sanso: Setting the Stage (2016), and Other: Zobel and Sanso (2016). He is a contributing writer to Brave New World (2021), After the Deluge Comes the Dawn (2021), Sanso Textile Designs (2021), all by Southeast Asian Publishing; and Andres Barrioquinto (2021) published by Rizzoli New York.
