Yasto’s journey from the barong painting workshops of Lumban, Laguna, to the dazzling runways of Dubai reflects a blend of talent and tradition. Rooted in the cultural heritage of his hometown, Yasto’s artistic career began in his family’s barong embroidery business. His skillful brushwork on delicate piña cocoon fabrics quickly gained recognition, leading to collaborations with esteemed Filipino designers. 

Yet, it was a partnership with Michael Cinco that catapulted Yasto onto the international stage. Inspired by the grandeur of Versailles during a visit to France, he contributed a show-stopping hand-painted coat to Cinco’s renowned collection. Today, Yasto continues to mesmerize audiences with his vibrant creations, embodying the timeless allure of Filipino craftsmanship on a global scale.
