At the age of 16, started doing movie billboards at Sagmit Advtg in Tondo, and from 1988-94 at Judo Advtg in Galas, QC with Paquito Beltran. After seeing works of early Cebuano artist Canuto Avila in 1991, produced landscapes with a vertical format as in Chinese scrolls. In 1999, his naif landscapes turned stylized, with undulating hills and skies of variegated neo-hues, similar to the dolor forms of Zalameda and Salita.
