Product Description

Dexter has always been drawn to abstract art, and he is not one to shy away from spontaneously experimenting with techniques to come up with his own style. Moods play a vital role in how he chooses the color of his works, drawing inspiration from the environment and everyday experiences. Duquiatan non-representation directly on the canvas - a process that affords him more than freedom when it comes to self-expression.

Since 1996, Duquiatan has been joining group exhibits in Metro Manila. His works received recognition from Robinsons Land ARTablado Create Painting Competition 2020, Robinsons Land National Art Competition 2018, the 16th DPC-PLDT Visual Arts Competition, and the 32nd Shell National Students Art Competition.

A Fine Arts alumnus from the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), Duquiatan is not believer of limiting oneself to a specific style. "Do not stick to one technique or style. Develop your style with no boundaries, and do not be afraid to explore them. It's somehow a trial-and-error process. Then after that, you figure out how to make it better."
