Lydia Velasco studied Fine Arts, Majoring in Advertising at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. After finishing college, she worked for the advertising agency Philprom. She later became Art Director for several multinational advertising companies in Manila such as Bates Alcantara, J. Walter Thompson, Pacifica, Ace Compton, Basic Advertising, and McCann-Erickson. It wasn't until 1988 when she finally ventured into entrepreneurship as co-owner of the advertising photography and graphic design office Lightmoves Photo/Design, Inc.

Lydia Velasco

Lydia Velasco's works were subdued and had a monochromatic color scheme. As time passed, Velasco refined her art by exploring different mediums and developing her unique style. Eventually, she shifted her focus to portraying strong, robust, hardworking, and independent women, which reflected her own inner self. Lydia's representations of women embodied the ideal Filipino woman from their own perspective.

Lydia Velasco pursued a degree in Fine Arts with a major in Advertising at the University of Sto. Tomas. After completing her college education, she worked for an advertising agency. It wasn't until 1988 that she ventured into entrepreneurship, offering advertising photography and graphic design services.
